2022 Health & Wellbeing Seminar in Tauranga

On Saturday, 2nd July, Tauranga women joined the focus team for their second annual Health & Wellbeing event at Classic Flyers.

This year’s sessions were strongly focused on natural remedies and healing methods, finding the power within and reconnecting with our intuition and inner child to help us find peace during these turbulent times. The event was filled with smiles, kindness, supportive words and optimism.

The day kicked off with an exciting session with Angela Frieswyk (Registered Medical Herbalist & Holistic Nutritionist), who explained more about ‘the people’s first medicine’ – herbs and common weeds that could be found in your own backyard and beyond. We even got to taste some of them! Angela’s recipe for a healthy dandelion root coffee was an absolute hit.

Angela Frieswyk is an enthusiastic Medical Herbalist and Holistic Nutritionist. She has been in clinical practice for the past 21 years and worked in several herbal dispensaries in New Zealand and Australia.

After tasting the energising dandelion root drink, it was time for Jo Douglas (The Bethlehem Health Shop) to talk about Bach Flower remedies and how they differ to homeopathic or naturopathic medicines. This was followed by an empowering Soul Connection Session with Gilly Godward (Intuitive Mentor and Energy Healer) and a HEAL-U –6 Steps to Healing session with Jenny Kennedy (Intuitive Healer and Teacher). The last two included some fun dancing and relaxing meditation 😉

Jo Douglas qualified as a Homeopath in 2014 and is also trained in Shiatsu, Reiki, massage and flower essences. She has around 25 years’ experience working in various pharmacies, herbal and homeopathic dispensaries.
Gilly Godward is an Intuitive Mentor and Energy Healer whose passion is empowering goddesses. She does this through offering a compassionate space for your own wisdom to be reflected. Coupled with this are a myriad of energy tools and techniques designed to allow you to come back in to alignment.
Jenny Kennedy was diagnosed with ‘incurable’ Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer in 2012. Determined to find a way to heal herself she embarked on a journey within to find the answers. She let go of her mind and allowed her intuition to guide her back to a place of great health.

Our awesome day of self-love and mindfulness wrapped up with Kati Ludwig and Alice Sea (Mind Your Karma) performing their sound healing magic to restore inner balance and peace for our guests. Check out our video!
