With many events around New Zealand still cancelled, Darkfield Radio has ensured that Halloween parties country-wide are as creepy as one dares with their chilling new iteration of the compelling audio experience VISITORS.
The new episode builds a strange and curious world through Darkfield’s trademark impressive 3D sound design – we’ve described it in more details recently. In short, all you’ll need for the whole new reality to be created around you is another person to join you, your mobile phone and your headphones.
The plot of the 20-minute immersive audio experience is centered on a dead couple – Jean and Alex – inviting themselves into the audience’s home looking for a temporary solution to their permanent condition. In your headphones, you’ll hear them behind you, in front of you and sometimes even whispering directly in your ear.
“In these times of social distancing, you may yearn to reach across the chasm that separates you, but we ask you to be careful who else you invite into the gap,” – Darkfield’s creators David Rosenberg and Glen Neath say about VISITORS.
