Every two weeks we share all the stuff we’ve recently enjoyed – from the latest TV shows to must-try foods, gorgeous makeup products and the most exciting spots to visit in New Zealand.
CLIPPER HERBAL TEA
For those who love a good, ethically sourced, high-quality herbal tea, have a look out for Clippers latest release – Groovy Ginger Hemp, Lemongrass Organic Infusion. It’s a relaxing spicy brew with chamomile, hemp seed, lemongrass and a zing of ginger. It’s a beautiful tea to have after dinner whilst curled up on the couch enjoying a bit of Netflix.
Clipper is the world’s largest Fairtrade tea brand, supporting over 114,000 producers and their families to ensure they have access to education, medical care and help in old age. The teas are made using organic ingredients and the bags are natural i.e. they aren’t chemically bleached, which is awesome in our opinion.
We enjoy a number of Clipper infusions at work. Our favourites include Organic Peppermint, Rise & Shine, and Dandelion.
Allow the tea bag to infuse in just-boiled water for 3-5 minutes and enjoy!
Chantal Organics is the exclusive distributor for Clipper Tea in New Zealand.
BOOST LAB SERUMS
Serum is a great skincare product to have in your makeup regime. After cleansing your face and before moisturising, add a serum that’s specifically targeted to your particular skin concern/requirement. Some serums help brighten your skin or reduce blemishes, whilst others focus on hydration or anti-ageing.
BOOST LAB has launched a fantastic range of serums to choose from: Bio-Active Eye Reset, Multi-Peptide Anti-Ageing, Retinol Night Renewal, Vitamin B3 Blemish Rescue and Vitamin C Brightening Serum. You can mix and match these depending on what your skin needs at any time. The serums are dermatologically tested and formulated using ingredients that are cruelty-free, free from artificial fragrances, sulphates, parabens and mineral oils and are designed to be fast-acting and effective.
The descriptions on each box spell out exactly what the serum does so there aren’t any guessing games as to which serum you should buy.
Real Foods – CORN THINS® Minis
Yuuum! The newly launched CORN THINS® were a big hit in our offices last week. The pressure-popped bite-sized snacks are light and crispy and can be eaten on their own or with your favourite dip.
For more than 20 years CORN THINS® has been a popular brand with Kiwis, not because they are a healthy range of crispbreads, made by simply popping grains of corn, but because they taste great – like delicious popcorn squished into a crispbread. And who doesn’t like popcorn?
But, not only are CORN THINS® Minis delicious, they have good health credentials too:
- Gluten-free
- No artificial colours or flavours
- Non-GMO
- 40-50% less fat than the best-selling corn chips
- No added MSG
- Health Star rating of 3.5 stars
We had six willing and eager testers try each of the three flavours – Original, Sour Cream & Chives, and Cheddar Cheese.
All were delicious but the verdict for the most delicious? Hands down, the Sour Cream & Chives.
GLOW LAB – AGE RENEW RETINOL BOOSTER OIL
You’ve probably already heard about the latest natural skincare ingredient Bakuchiol? If you haven’t, here’s a quick rundown on this skin miracle worker:
- It’s the natural equivalent to retinol (which is known for its anti-ageing properties and ability to even out skin tone and pigmentation and to minimise fine lines)
- Research has shown that it boosts collagen and speeds up skin renewal
- It restores firmness
- It’s natural and vegan
- It’s a powerful antioxidant
- If you have a sensitive skin, retinol can cause irritation and redness, whereas Bakuchiol doesn’t present any of these side effects
The Glow Lab product is boosted with Beracare BBA™ so you’ll find you only need to apply a few drops to your cleansed face morning and night. For an added hydration boost, mix the oil into Glow Lab Moisturiser or Night Cream.
