In focus: My Morning Mantra fizz sticks, Glasshouse Fragrances candle and other things we loved

Here are some of the things we’ve enjoyed in the past two weeks!

Fizz Sticks, My Morning Mantra

We all know that we should start our day in the best possible way by serving our body and mind with essential nutrients designed to increase energy levels and boost our immunity. Right? Well, My Morning Mantra recently launched their fizz sticks to help us do just that.

The natural range, crafted right here in New Zealand, includes three different immunity fizz stick flavours – Mandarin, Raspberry and, for the kids, Strawberry. Packed full of energy-boosting vitamins and minerals, each fizz stick contains 100% naturally sourced ingredients, zero fillers and is sweetened with monk fruit extract. They are gluten and dairy free, contain selenium, zinc and iron… and each flavour is delicious!

The creators of the fizz sticks say that ‘My Morning Mantra is your moment of wellness that you gift your body each and every day. A simple soul-warming task to lift you up each morning and carry you through to a more positive outlook for your week.’

The fizz sticks can be enjoyed anytime of the day but are really designed for the start of your day – perhaps instead of tea or coffee. For adults, add one fizz stick to 200mls of water (kids use 150ml of water), stir and enjoy. Simple as that! Each My Morning Mantra tub is plastic free and contains one month’s supply of 30 sachets.

Currently, My Morning Mantra is offering 15% off every subscription order, plus free shipping nationwide.

Babassu Oil Brow Fix, Raww Cosmetics

There’s nothing nicer than well-groomed eyebrows, don’t you think? Raww Cosmetics recently launched their Babassu Oil Brow Fix in Cocoa (for brunettes) and Soft Cocoa (for fair to medium colour brows). The pencil contains nourishing superfoods such as acai, babassu, avocado, coconut and sweet almond oils so your messy brows will be tamed and nourished in no time at all.

Jenny:  “This is a beautiful creamy, textured eyebrow pencil so there was no dragging or stretching of my skin. My eyebrows are a bit unruly and sparse in a few places so it was great to fill in a few spots with the pencil and then brush the hairs I do have into place with the built-in spoolie. I used the Soft Cocoa but would probably try the darker one (Cocoa) next time.”

A Tahaa Affair Collector’s Edition Candle, Glasshouse Fragrances

Celebrating the 15th Anniversary of their much loved fragrance A Tahaa Affair, Glasshouse Fragrances has transformed the luscious, distinctive caramel notes, jasmine, sambac and cedarwood, into a blush pink soy candle. Nestled into a blush pink vessel and packed in a box wrapped in gold foil, this would make a perfect gift.

When the candle is burning, Glasshouse Fragrances want you to feel as though you are in the Tahitian tropics on a balmy night. The full bodied sweet fragrance is ideally suited to a large area as the scent is quite strong and lasts. The top notes are Caribbean Rum, raisin, sea salt and Pineapple but you’ll also detect hints of vanilla, sandalwood, butterscotch, caramel, white musk and dark amber.

A Tahaa Affair has been one of the brand’s best-selling products so it absolutely made sense to include the fragrance in a candle. The soy blend wax formula is free from parabens, silicones and PEGS (polyethylene glycols – petroleum-based compounds).

This limited edition release will sell out quickly, that’s for sure.

Prep and Prime, wet n wild

If your makeup isn’t lasting the day, then it’s time to bring out one of wet n wild’s latest products – all of which include nourishing ingredients to help your makeup stand the test of time. Suitable for all skin types, each product ensures the skin remains healthy and hydrated.

The water-based Prime Focus Primer Serum is perfect for refining your pores and prepping your skin for makeup and is formulated with a luxurious blend of flower and fruit extracts including Bakuchiol (a natural retinol alternative known to improve skin texture), dragonfruit, lavender, Green Tea Extract and Rose Water.

The Brighten Primer Serum is also water-based and formulated with a luxurious blend of pineapple, calendula, and other flower and fruit extracts that work together to help brighten, refine, and condition the skin.

Alison: “I loved the Brighten Primer and felt my skin looked hydrated and healthy. You don’t need a lot to see the difference. I only used a drop or two each morning on my cleansed face and, after a minute, added my moisturiser and makeup. I had never used a serum before and was really pleased that my makeup was still in place at the end of the day.”

Both serums are suitable for all skin types and the products are cruelty-free and vegan.
