Join the Food for Thought Rescued Food Festival this March!

The first rescued food festival is happening in Tauranga on the 23rd of March. Come and support local charities on this day of good food and fun activities.

Food for Thought is the brainchild of our cover heroine Lavina Good and her Good Neighbour charity organisation. The event will also support the Te Aranui Youth Trust.

Loads of activities are planned at Our Place Tauranga on 23rd of March from 10 am til 3 pm. Ian Harrison from Clarence Bistro, Rick Lowe of Somerset Cottage and other reputable Bay of Plenty chefs will compete against each other in cooking using rescued food provided by Brookfield New World, Pak’N Save Tauranga and Countdown. Burger Burger will be serving their legendary burgers at the Bayley’s Pop-Up Kitchen and all proceeds from their hard work will go directly to Good Neighbour and the Te Aranui Trust. There will also be craft markets, silent auctions, live music, face painting for kids and, of course, some retail therapy.

Tickets are on sale at Eventfinda and they are less than $10!

You can also join the event’s Facebook page for the latest news and updates.
