Waipuna Hospice invites you to a Superhero Walk/Run on Saturday 27th March to honour, remember, and celebrate the heroes in our lives – both past and present.
Grab your cape and running shoes and join the 3.6km walk or 6.4km run around Mount Maunganui for a good cause – to help raise much-needed funds for specialist palliative medical care and support for people in Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty facing a life-limiting illness.
Register HERE before 15th February and receive a free Superhero gift pack (subject to availability)! Tickets are $10 for an individual (over 18 years), $5 for Waipuna Hospice volunteers and members, or come as a group of five individuals for the discounted price of $40. Children (under 18) can attend for FREE with a paying individual.
If you want to help even more, you can become a hospice fundraiser by creating a dedicated fundraising page with Give-a-Little and use it to help raise funds for Waipuna Hospice. Share your fundraising page with your friends and family, and encourage your peers to support your cause! There will be prizes for the most funds raised.
While all care provided to families by Waipuna Hospice is at not charge to patients, it costs a lot to be able to do that. This year alone, they need $4 million to provide necessary services for about 1,000 people. And events like Superhero Walk/Run help Waipuna Hospice to continue doing what they do.
