Lifezone Church Tauranga will host a free wellbeing course to tackle mental health issues

Ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week next week, Lifezone is launching a free nine-week wellbeing course with access to experts to help people tackle taboo topics and areas of their lives that might be affecting their mental health.

Lifezone Church wants to connect people who feel like they need to improve their wellbeing with professionals, experts and advisers in relevant areas both in person and via online channels.

The course starts with an introductory session on Sunday, 26 September, at 9.30am, at Lifezone Church, Tauranga, and will continue every Sunday for nine weeks, touching on different aspects of wellbeing each week. Each session will also be live streamed online for those who are unable to attend. Recorded sessions will also be available to watch online at 11.30am and 8.00pm, with host support and both public and private live chats.

“Whether they need to connect with a personal trainer, a dietician, a financial coach or a counsellor, this course will provide the pathways to help attendees on their journey to greater wellbeing. This nine-week series allows us to provide opportunities for people to advance their wellbeing and mental health by creating a friendly, safe and non-judgemental environment where people can feel supported, seen and heard. Feeling connected, especially in the current environment, is so important and we want to help people make these connections, not just with industry professionals but with others who might be struggling with the same issues,” says Lifezone Church Pastor Steve Murray.
