Creativity in the Bay of Plenty – Linda Inglis

Linda Inglis is a contemporary stitch artist who values the challenge of using thread as an art medium. The knowledge she gained while studying a Diploma of Art at the Bop Polytech gave her a pathway to broaden her thinking of art and beyond, the needle.

Polarized

Linda searches for relevance in her embroidery and much of her work is inspired through travel and being conscious of other cultures. She regularly attends exhibitions, exploring many mediums, and believes this enhances her stitch practice. Much of Linda’s current work reflects on tolerance and how it impacts on the designs and materials used.
