Three wellness and mental health experts will headline the next Lyon O’Neale Arnold Lawyers’ Wonder Women event on Tuesday, 29 September.
“Many of us lead very busy lives and sometimes our own mental wellbeing can slip down the priority list. With this week being Mental Health Awareness Week, this topic is particularly relevant,” says Denise Arnold, Lyon O’Neale Arnold director.
She has invited wellness expert and author Rachel Grunwell, counsellor Maxine Brayshaw and Lyon O’Neale Arnold’s practice manager Shiree Edgar to provide inspiration, understanding, practical information and resources for women who may need extra support.
Shiree Edgar will open the event with a personal story of tragedy, survival, and hope. Maxine Brayshaw will focus on adversity and building resilience as well as ways to identify and help people experiencing depression. Rachel Grunwell will share her toolkit for keeping physically and mentally strong.
With all proceeds going to the I AM HOPE Charity, the evening is also an opportunity to support the work being done to raise awareness of depression and suicide prevention in New Zealand.
I AM HOPE is a youth and community-focused support group run by The Key to Life Charitable Trust, started by Mike King. The group promotes positive attitudinal societal change in schools and communities throughout the country and funding private care and counselling for young people.
