Bella Vi is a brand of naturalceutical skincare that uses proven anti-ageing natural bio-active ingredients. We had some big shoes to fill for this review, what with Bella Vi products being tested in a specialist laboratory! focus tests do not include microscopes and scientific experiments, just an honest opinion of two people using products on a daily basis. Enjoy!
Dee Collins: When you describe something as the crème de la crème, you’re stating that it is the best of its kind so it was with this thought in mind that the scientific team at Bella Vi’s Italian Naturalceutical Skincare centre developed their Crème De La Crème moisturiser for delicate and sensitive skin. Over the past few months I have enjoyed using this anti-ageing product and, with the use of a serum as the first layer and the moisturizer on top, I definitely feel my skin feels more hydrated and looks less irritated and calmer.
Bella Vi is a New Zealand brand but the founder looked to Italy for the best cosmeceutical scientists* to bring her vision of a luxury and effective skincare range to life. Using proven natural bio-active ingredients and encapsulating these into liposomes – which allow for deep penetration and absorption into the skin – the scientists created a range of Bella Vi skincare products for all skin types.
The Crème de la Crème moisturizer is designed to revitalise skin stem cells and fibroblasts and contains a number of hero ingredients including hyaluronic acid (essential for hydration), Argan extract and lycopene which help with revitilisation and anti-ageing. There are also a good mix of hydrating oils such as Almond Oil, Vitamin A and E.
I used the moisturiser twice a day, and found it absorbed quickly into my skin and left no sticky residue. It has a beautiful silky feel to it and is easily dispensed from the push-top jar.
The Bella Vi products are all beautifully presented and have a luxe feel to them and I love the fact that the brand is not tested on animals, is paraben-free and Australian certified toxic-free.

and pharmaceutical strength - stronger than your average off-the-shelf
product but not as potent as a professional might use/subscribe.
Kseniia Spodyneiko: I’m the worst when it comes to primers but it’s justified – when you spend 40 minutes on makeup in the morning, you don’t want it ruined by skin oils and accidental finger poking by lunch. So, the opportunity to try Bella Vi SPF15 Perfecting Primer after years of using the one-and-only product that literally cements my makeup for eight hours straight made me quite skeptical. I kept staring at it, touching it, smelling it for days but not doing anything else.
Turns out, there was no reason to be such a diva! Bella Vi primer does the job just fine. Applying it feels more like using a moisturiser – it’s texture is very light, soft and gentle. It blends easily and is absorbed really quickly. I even used it as a moisturiser on makeup-free days! It has a lot of natural ingredients with long scientific names that all work towards the same goal: help skin combat signs of ageing and repair damaged skin cells. Gimme, gimme.
The finish of the makeup with this primer is a bit different from what I’m used to – it’s less matte but not in an annoyingly shiny way, more like a natural glow. Imagine swapping powder blush and highlighter for cream products – this is the kind of finish this base creates for your makeup. So, I’m now using it on days when I feel like creating a more natural ‘no makeup’ makeup.
The only downside is that, in my case, it left my nose pores more visible than I would prefer to, but again, ‘no makeup’ makeup, right?
