Kristie Purton – let’s support the bravest fighter together!

If you live in Tauranga chances are you have already heard about Kristie Purton. This inspiring mother-of-three has been told she only has weeks to live. But nothing has stopped Kristie from enjoying a great time with her family and friends! And we think it would be great if our community rallied together to help her experience as many amazing moments as possible with the time she has left!

Kristie and her younger sister Nikki Reynolds-Wilson were born with cystic fibrosis, a genetic disorder that affects the lungs and pancreas. Though both sisters have had lung transplants, Kristie and her family were recently given the heartbreaking news that her new lungs have failed and there is nothing more they can do… Kristie has only a week or two to live!

Kristie and Nikki spent years raising awareness of this disorder, now it’s our turn to give back! Let’s make her last days as special as possible. Event manager Melanie Quin has come up with an idea to put together 10 memorable experiences for Kristie.

If you’re in a business that would be keen to donate an experience for this amazing woman, her husband and three kids – be it a day out in a helicopter flying above the Bay of Plenty or swimming with dolphins, or even indulging in your delicious home-made food at sunrise get in contact by visiting this page. Gift cards, experiences, products – anything you can get your generous hands on. “Don’t hold back – the more magic the better,” says Quin.

If you’re unable to help with an experience but are still keen to support Kristie and her family, think about a monetary donation that will be used to make her dreams come true and, of course, help ensure her children have a future.
