Tauranga Moana Pride Picnic at The Strand is back for its third year

Support and celebrate diversity on 7 March, 12-3pm, at the colourful, family-friendly, zero-waste, free Tauranga Moana Pride Picnic on The Strand.

‘It’s always so inspiring seeing so many people join in to have fun and support diversity in our community.  It’s especially great to see such a great age range with people from all ages enjoying the day,’ says the organiser Helen Alice.

The event is organised and run by volunteers from the local rainbow community. Rainbow Youth and Gender Dynamix, organisations that both offer support services for the Rainbow Community in Tauranga, will have information stalls at the picnic.

A Pride Week full of amazing events and activities will lead up to the Picnic. Some highlights are the Pride Games Night at 17th Avenue Theatre on Tuesday, March 2, Pride Theatre at 16th Avenue Theatre on the evenings of March 5 and 6, plus the Pride Party at Voodoo Lounge on Friday, March 5.
