BOON Street Art Festival 2021 celebrates Mana Wāhine with an all-female line-up

Celebrate Mana Wāhine during the 6th BOON Street Art festival in Hamilton on 5-7 March.

The free public festival brings talents from Wellington, Auckland and Hamilton together. Enjoy the colourful murals by Xoë Hall, Erin Forsyth, Gina Kiel, Gembol, Pounamu Wharekawa, Abigail Aroha Jensen and Rachel Kiddie McClure.

‘Street Art has the power to transform and uplift spaces,’ says BOON Street Art Festival Director, Craig McClure, ‘and it’s great to be working mostly locally this year. We’re very excited to give some love – some big visual art love, to the north end of Hamilton around Liverpool Street.’

Temporary exhibitions, meet-ups with the artists, music shows and good food are just a few of the amazing things waiting for you. FInd detailed schedules and maps at boonstreetart.co.nz.

Taking things up a notch, this year’s event has also invited GRRRL Fest – a multi-media arts festival celebrating female and non-gender-conforming talent – to host a live music stage from 12-6pm, 6 March as a part of the Liverpool Street festival hub.
