Tauranga-based Good Buzz kombucha has launched a fundraiser for The Kindness Institute. This charity was hand-selected by Amber Campbell, the co-owner and brewmaster of Good Buzz.
Science shows a direct connection between the mind and gut, so for a beverage that helps with gut health, it seemed important to support causes around mental health. TKI is Good Buzz’s first fundraising endeavour.
The Kindness Institute has a program for marginalised youth called ATAWHAI (Maori for kindness). Through it, rangatahi learn to deal with challenging emotions, conflicts, forgiveness, honest communication, empathy, focus, motivation, positive decision making and positive relationship skills. They show kids how to get peace and love on the inside. If there’s no peace or love on the outside, what’s going on inside is something that no one can take away from them. Donations, or tickets purchased, will go directly toward creating an Aotearoa where every child has the tools they need to overcome extreme challenges and live lives of meaning.
So, how can you participate and support this initiative? Purchase a $5 raffle ticket for your chance to win the Ultimate Chilly Bin Boom Box filled with healthy beverages from several New Zealand brands such as Arepa, Aotea Tonics, Bootleggers, Chia, AWAKA, Harpoon and Good Buzz! There are also 30 giveaways with a winner being chosen from the raffle entries on a daily basis to win a case of Booch. Pretty epic!
