Lash and Eyebrow Colour, Depend
Whilst everyone sent the online booking systems for their respective beauty salons into a tailspin once we entered Level Two, we were lucky enough to be able to take a back seat because we had Depend’s Lash and Eyebrow Colour to try out.
Available in black, brown/black and brown, the Depend set offers waterproof, smudge-free colour in just a few easy-to-follow steps. When the borders finally open and we’re able to set sail on lofty adventures again, we’ll be definitely using these little bundles to get perfect 40-day colour for eyelashes and eyebrows.

Ardell Magnetic Lashes
In retrospect, whilst first trying to apply these magnetic lashes, I should have recorded a video for TikTok – it would have provided much merriment for those watching. ‘Easy to Apply’ saw many failed attempts but, once I had the hang of them and knew what I was supposed to be doing (and that they were only for the top set of lashes), these beauties were impressive. Basically, your own upper-lid eyelashes are wedged between the magnetic set to give you these gorgeous long curved lashes. Initially, I was certainly aware of them and not sure if they would ‘behave’ out in public but, after a few outings, I found them reliable and soon forgot about them.
Really great for those days when you need more oomph for your eyes!
New Glow Lab products
It’s good to see so many New Zealand made skincare products on the shelves. Glow Lab’s mission was to create affordable, natural, effective products that are cruelty-free and also free of all the nasties. We were sent the SPF15 Tinted Facial Moisturiser and Rosehip Oil +Plus to try out.
The SPF15 Tinted Facial Moisturiser gives a natural-looking colour to the skin. It’s light-weight but hydrating and is perfect for those days when you want a light covering of makeup with a broad spectrum SPF15 to give your skin added protection. It does have a scent but it’s not overpowering.
The Rosehip Oil +Plus is a blend of Rosehip seed oil, Vitamin C and other nourishing oils and designed to help reduce the appearance of scars, fine lines and wrinkles and even out the skin tone. It’s a great product to use on a cleansed face at the end of the day and can be layered under the Glow Lab Night Cream for an extra hydration boost.

Bretman Rock X Wet n Wild
With 18.4million followers on Instagram, Bretman Rock’s collaboration with Wet n Wild was bound to create excitement. The Insta mogul, well-known for his beauty tutorials and vlogs, brought his wild style and bold attitude to the new Jungle Rock collection which includes a 2-in-1 loose highlighter, colour palette, lip gloss, highlighting brush and 3-in-1 face mist.
