Here are some of the things we’ve enjoyed in the past two weeks!
Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner, Revitalash® Cosmetics

Dee: “Revitalash is a brand I associate with eyelash serums, not shampoos and conditioners, so I was intrigued to try these and report back.
“I used to have lovely thick hair but it thinned out after having chemo many years ago. I have tried many ‘thickening’ shampoos but, truthfully, all they did was weigh my hair down and by the end of the day, it looked lank and greasy. I do have to wash my hair every day just to keep it looking fresh and have tried any number of shampoos that don’t strip all the moisture out of the hair shaft.
“I used the Revitalash Shampoo and Conditioner for about a week before I could honestly say that my hair felt and looked thicker. Both have a mild scent but it’s not overpowering and the shampoo lathers and cleans well.
“The directions recommend washing your hair and massaging the scalp in gentle circular motions. Leave in for 1-2 minutes before rinsing off and follow with the Thickening Conditioner which has the same directions – massage in circular motions and leave for 1-2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and towel off.
“I’ve been using these products for only a few weeks and am pleased with the results. Although both products are quite pricey – over $50 a bottle – you only need a very small amount so 250ml should last a while. I also liked the fact that there are no sulphate detergents, parabens or phthalates and that the products are vegan friendly and cruelty free.”
Skin Reset Eye Crème, Emma Lewisham

We’ve been lucky enough to try out a number of products from Emma Lewisham’s skincare range and were delighted to receive their latest offering, the Skin Reset Eye Crème. The crème pioneers a new CoQ10 delivery system which helps ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin which means the product isn’t just sitting on the surface of your skin. It’s proven to boost collagen production, hydrate the skin, improve the appearance of dark circles under the eyes and generally just plumps up the skin so that it looks firmer and smoother.
The crème has been formulated to provide up to 72 hours of moisture and reduce transepidermal water loss which simply means it’s stopping moisture from evaporating off your skin and, instead, plumping up your skin from the inside out.
This gorgeous crème glides onto your skin – you only need a pea-sized amount – and should be applied onto clean skin, both morning and night. Gently massage the crème into the eye area for increased microcirculation.
Dee: “I love the Emma Lewisham skincare range and this latest eye crème is gorgeous. I feel my eyes definitely look less tired and wrinkly.”
Vitamin C Pack, The Body Shop

Vitamin C has long been known as the powerhouse for fresh, good looking skin. We gave one of our readers, Andrea, products from The Body Shop’s Vitamin C range to try out and report back with her thoughts. The range included the Daily Glow Cleansing Polish, Energising Face Mist and the Glow Sheet Mask.
Andrea: “I loved the Cleansing Polish! It cleans and exfoliates in one easy step and gave my skin a beautiful clean feel. You only need a small amount of product and it lathers up easily.
“The single use Glow Sheet Mask is also divine! It’s suitable for all skin types and my rather dry skin felt hydrated and looked healthier after just 15 minutes. I also enjoyed sitting back and relaxing whilst it was on.
“The Energising Face Mist gives your skin a quick energising boost – great for times when your skin is looking a bit dull. I hadn’t tried a face mist before – all you have to do is close your eyes and spray your face (one spray was enough for me) from a distance of about 10cm. I’ve done a lot of travelling recently and found it perfect for a quick pick-me-up when flying and it’s the perfect size for my handbag.
“All the products have a lovely citrus fragrance but the scent doesn’t last long so you won’t smell like you’ve been eating oranges! On reading up about the Vitamin C range, I learned that the products contain crushed camu camu berries, which have more than 20 times the Vitamin C than oranges. Overall, I really loved these products, especially the Glow Sheet Mask and the Face Mist.”
Fight Dirty and Vitamins, Wet n Wild

Super-packed with vitamins C, B5 and B3, the Wet ‘n Wild Vitamins primer is the perfect prep for any skincare routine. Whilst helping to hydrate, firm and brighten the skin, the Vitamins Face Mist will protect the moisture barrier… which is super important in the fight to keep skin from ageing.
The lightly scented mist is really fine, dries very quickly and leaves a beautiful surface for your foundation. It can also be used as a setting spray but we preferred the Fight Dirty Detox Setting Spray for this job.
Once you’ve finished applying your makeup, spray Fight Dirty over your face and let the ultra-fine mist set your makeup with a natural finish.
The spray contains a purifying blend of Chamomile Extract, Witch Hazel , Tea Tree Extract, Eucalyptus oil and vegetable collagen – all designed to soothe skin, retain moisture and minimise pores.
Both mists are suitable for all skin types.
