With the beach season looming, we’ve experimented with Bondi Sand’s ultra-hydrating and lightweight tanning lotion. Nothing like an instant tan to make you feel more confident in shorts and summer dresses!

Dee Collins: Ok, I admit, there were a few streaks and missed patches but that’s more because I was in a hurry to convert my whiter-than-white body into a just-visited-Bondi-Beach bronzed hue. Honestly, the lotion is super-easy to apply and now that I have the knack of self-tanning treatments, I’m hooked.
Skin prep is important if you don’t want a patchy look – I would recommend shaving the day before and then using a light scrub on the day of application. To keep my hands free of those telltale signs of a self-tan I used a Bondi Sands Tanning Mitt (highly recommend but you can use a disposable glove if you need to) and applied smallish amounts of lotion to the areas I wanted ‘tanned’.
The lotion is dark enough for you to see where you’ve already applied the product – leave your hands, knees, feet and elbows to last. If you’re worried about too much tan on your face, mix some lotion with your moisturiser, then apply.
Let the lotion dry completely before donning loose (old) clothing. You can leave the lotion on your skin for 1-8 hours and if you want a really deep tan, reapply 30 minutes after the initial application. When you’re ready, rinse off in the shower. You’ll find the tan develops over the next few hours and by the next day it looks amazing.
Enriched with aloe vera and infused with a coconut scent, the lightweight, moisturising lotion will give you that Bondi Beach glow and, for me, lasted about a week.
Caitlin Gill: I absolutely loved this lotion! I felt it was even easier to apply than the Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam I was using before. The smell was delicious as always. Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting a quick and natural tan.
