The long-awaited grand opening of Tauranga Crossing, in Tauriko, happens this April! On 4th April, 70 new stores alongside the giant EVENT Cinemas are opening their doors to the public. We can’t wait to check them all out!
Tauranga Crossing might be the newest addition to the town scene but it’s already become a huge hub for local shoppers. In February, the first 19 stores of the future two-storey 45,000 sqm shopping mall opened. And now the main launch happens next week! On 4th April, 70 more stores, dining and entertainment spots will be open to eager customers. Here are some of the stores we’re absolutely over the moon to now have within arm’s reach.
EVENT Cinemas
EVENT Cinemas is bringing the first VMAX to Tauranga! The Bay of Plenty is the only region outside Auckland to receive this latest movie screening technology with a massive 24m wide by 10m high screen, Dolby Atmos sound technology and fully reclining chairs. There will be six big screens with a total capacity of 1,000 people … which makes Tauriko EVENT Cinemas the largest cinema complex in the Bay.
H&M
We always thought it unfair that H&M New Zealand wasn’t in Tauranga. Well, prayers have been answered! The famous global retailer, with over 3,000 stores worldwide, is now opening a whole store at Tauranga Crossing! Affordable prices and the latest fashion trends, produced in a sustainable way? Yes, please!
Pascoes
If you read our magazine you should already know this store. Pascoes stocks the most versatile and beautiful jewellery and watches. But looking at pictures is one thing, being able to try everything on and get advice from experts is a whole different experience.
Stirling Sports
We love this sportswear brand regardless, but the fact that they’ve prepared something very special for the Tauriko shopping mall makes things a wee bit more exciting. According to their marketing manager they’ll be launching a new concept store with awesome products from their brands and providing a whole new in-store experience!
Edge Clothing
This trusted Australian brand brings the latest fashion trends to Tauranga! And it’s their first shop in the country so no need to fly to Australia to shop for the perfect festival look! And with the huge number of festivals happening in the Bay every summer, having this shop in town will really be handy.
Bras N’ Things
Another Australian darling, offering lingerie to suit women of all sizes and stages of life, and a bra-fit technique that’s been refined and perfected from more than 25 years of research and customer feedback. Designed by women and for women – sounds pretty much like us!
IPPIN Ramen
Ramen is the latest culinary craze so an entire restaurant dedicated to this legendary dish comes right on time. They use locally sourced fresh ingredients and avoid any nasties to produce the healthiest and most flavourful ramen out there. Yum!
Hawker & Roll
This Malaysian-inspired street food, created by renowned Kiwi Chef Josh Emett, has already conquered Auckland, Queenstown and Christchurch, and is finally coming to Tauranga. Free-range meat and pesticide free produce. Oh, and did we mention, it’s REALLY delicious?
