You already know more about your body than you think you do. Body intuition means using your body as a window to the soul. It means listening to the messages your body gives you; using your gut feelings and intuition as powerful tools to find health and healing.
“You’ll know that you’re aligned with the truth of your deepest wisdom when your body feels light and expansive. You’ll know when something isn’t right for you because you’ll feel constricted, awkward, fidgety, tense, or edgy.”
Kris Franken
This is the wisdom of the body.
Lean into these feelings, and learn to read them, and you will become more in tune with your body intuition.
What is a gut feeling?
Through mirror neurons – neurons that respond to actions that we observe in others – we are taking in each other’s bodily state, feelings and intention in each emerging moment.
This gives us an approximate empathic sense of what is happening in the other person.
Sometimes we may feel this as our gut feeling – an embodied sense of intuition.
Intuition, or the ‘gut feeling’, is the ability to gain immediate understanding without the agency of conscious reasoning.
Intuitive understanding bypasses the logical arm of the mind-brain network.
Reasons why your gut feeling is so powerful:
- Your gut has the power to remember, think and decide, just like your brain does.
- Your gut subconsciously stores all kinds of information and experiences.
- Your intuition leads you to a concrete decision.
- Pairing gut feelings with logic leads to better, faster, more accurate decision making.
“There is more wisdom in your body than in your deepest philosophy.”
Friedrich Nietzsche
It already exists within you. Listen in and feel it.

How can you imprint health and wellbeing into your life?
Bring healing to your body by visualising and connecting with health, vitality and vibrancy.
This can work very well in combination with dance or any other movement you enjoy.
By creating enjoyable moments every cell of your body will imprint the signature of health and wellbeing.
Simply connecting to vitality and vibrancy will work wonders in bringing healing to your body.
When you honour your body with self care of all kinds, you will become more strongly connected to your intuition and guiding wisdom.
Putting your effort and intentions into health and healing will bring beautiful results.
Connect with the wisdom of your body through moving meditation and breath.
This can be all forms of…
- Dance
- Yoga
- Or other forms of movement YOU ENJOY
Moving your body will activate the body’s healing potential.

I connect with my body through both movement and stillness.
I connect with its wisdom through moving meditation, including yoga.
I strengthen my intuition through the stillness of breath work, activating my healing potential.
Allow yourself to fully arrive in your body
You can do a grounding meditation with your feet on grass, sand or soil, while you visualise how roots are growing deep into Mother Earth – anchoring you into her wisdom.
Be fully present with your body and its ever changing needs.
Embody the uniqueness of your body.
How does energy move and shift through the body?
Our bodies are vessels for holding, moving, and shifting energy – such as our feelings. We can learn to read our inner map by allowing our body to be our guide. Just like a navigation system, our bodies show us where we are at and what our needs are in any given situation. These become tangible through physical sensations – whether they are emotional or physical needs.
Listening and acting in alignment with these cues will help us to shift and release any dissonance or discomfort from our bodies much quicker.
Become aware of your own cycles
Just like Mother Nature, our body moves through cycles and seasons throughout our day, week, month, year, and life. Each season has something to teach us – about where we are at, our capacity, our needs, our boundaries…
Women go through a menstrual cycle every month, and the needs and guidance of their bodies changes from week to week. From the peak of ovulation when we burst with energy and enthusiasm, to the bleeding time when all we want is rest and retreat. The more we are aware of these cycles, the more we can co-create our lives in alignment with them.
This feels empowering and good.

On the other hand, if we are acting against the nature of our cycles, the more inner conflict, confusion, and depletion we will create.
Listening to your intuition – your embodied wisdom – is a form of self love.
You love and trust yourself so much – so much that you will always listen to your inner wisdom and guidance.
It’s all there within you.
What does self care mean to you?
It looks different for all of us.
Maybe it has to do with your connection with nature – or maybe it’s finding moments of silence.
Maybe it’s taking care of your external space so you feel tidy internally; maybe it’s creating time to just be.
Follow your body intuition to find what recharges you best.
This is your reminder to listen to your body today!
What is it telling you?
What is it asking for?
What does it need?
Living in tandem with this inner voice will lead to vibrancy and vitality.
