The new ‘Rude Food’ cookbook from ‘below the belt’ cancer research organisation, ANZUP, showcases some ‘nice, but naughty’ dishes from chefs, comedians and celebrities, to create more conversations and awareness about ‘below the belt’ cancers, as well as raising vital funds for medical research into these diseases.
Chefs, Manu Fieldel, Fast Ed, Ainsley Harriott, Gabriel Gaté and Adrian Richardson, join a string of other television favourites, comedians and clinicians as they donate their racy recipes to a cookbook that is bound to inspire, as well as make you chuckle!
Available for pre-sale from December 4th, 2023 (with physical books being shipped (to Australia and New Zealand) by Valentine’s Day 2024), the book features cheeky classics such as ‘Cock Em Bouche,’ ‘Taste-icular Croquettes,’ ‘Nuts ProfiterBALLS’ and, of course, ‘Spotted Dick.’
The Australian and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate Cancer Trials Group (ANZUP) was formed in 2008, bringing together a world-leading multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, scientists, researchers, and community representatives, all working in areas related to urogenital cancers.
The Rude Food cookbook is $24.99 with all proceeds going to ANZUP’s Below the Belt Research Fund. This enables the support of development in clinical trials and continued research to improve the lives of people affected by ‘below the belt’ cancers.
“One of the most important activities ANZUP does is to open conversations about ‘below the belt’ cancers,” said Margaret McJannett, CEO of ANZUP. The book aims to do exactly that, by inspiring all of us to create some of these titillating dishes, as well as encourage conversation about testicular, penile, prostate, kidney and bladder cancers, to make it easier for people to get regular check-ups and to find out more about medical research and trials for these cancers.
