Thea – Matcha Collagen Blend
To date, I haven’t been a great fan of matcha but I have to say, Thea’s matcha collagen blend (matcha + coconut – vanilla flavour) is surprisingly pleasant and doesn’t have that bitter aftertaste that I dislike.
Matcha is powdered stoneground green tea leaves – a supercharged green tea – and is high in antioxidants and a source of L-Theanine, which helps you relax but also keeps you focused. Matcha powder is also a source of caffeine so if you feel like you’re drinking too much coffee then this would be a great alternative. With 2.1g of carbohydrates per serving, it’s keto-friendly too.
The Matcha Collagen Blend also contains collagen, which is the foundation to healthy joints, bone and skin health, Vitamin C, a hint of vanilla and organic coconut milk powder.
The blend comes in a reusable cute tin and all you need is 1 heaped tablespoon added to a cup of hot water or, my favourite, add to a green smoothie – I made mine with almond milk, spinach, avocado, a frozen banana and a teaspoon of tahini.

Speight’s – Summit 0.0% Lager
Speight’s Beer, made in Dunedin and the award-winning pride of the South, has launched Speight’s Summit Zero – the brand’s first alcohol-free beer.
Why would you want an alcohol-free beer I hear you ask? Interestingly, new research has shown that 77% of Kiwi blokes are choosing a more balanced approach in their choice of drinking habits and there’s been an increase in demand for reduced alcohol or alcohol-free beverages. And, the truth is, many women love an ice cold beer in summer too, so they appreciate the choice too.
