Every two weeks we share all the stuff we’ve recently enjoyed – from the latest TV shows to must-try foods, gorgeous makeup products and the most exciting spots to visit in New Zealand.
Nivea Naturally Good Radiance Day Cream and Regenerating Night Cream
Sarah: I was delighted to be given the opportunity to try these new Nivea face creams and give some genuine feedback.
The creams support natural skin balance, are made with 99% natural origin ingredients and support skin regeneration – sounds all good to me so I was keen to see the results after a few weeks.
I L-O-V-E summer and am out in the fresh air as much as possible so my skin definitely needed some attention. With both creams, a little goes a long way which makes it good value. The day cream has a light aloe vera aroma and worked quickly to give my skin a supple, hydrated look which was a great base to have before applying my makeup.
The night cream also smells great – Argan Oil and Jojoba Seed Oil – and the texture isn’t too heavy and easily soaked into my skin. It left no greasy or oily feeling and my skin really felt smooth and hydrated in the morning.
I’ve been using both creams for three weeks now and I’m very pleased with the results. My skin has had no adverse reactions – in fact, it looks a lot calmer and plumper. It also looks a lot healthier and hydrated so, all in all, it’s a keeper for me.
Jasberry Rice Mix
We’ve featured Jasberry Rice in a previous Things We Love article and, of course, were delighted to be sent the latest addition to the Jasberry family – Jasberry Rice Mix – to try out.
The non-GMO, gluten-free and high antioxidant rice is made from a blend of Organic Brown Jasmine Rice and Organic Jasberry Rice
Jasberry Rice was developed over 10 years through natural cross-breeding and is considered the healthiest rice in the world due to its uniquely high levels of antioxidants. It has 40x more antioxidants than brown rice, 3x more than blueberries, 4x more than quinoa and 7x more than kale… and it’s absolutely delicious.
The Mango Jasberry Rice Salad is a really versatile salad – easy to make and can be eaten on its own or topped with grilled prawns or fish. You can find the recipe for this HERE.
If dessert is your thing, then try the easy-to-make vegan rice pudding or with the nights getting colder, it’s a great accompaniment to any curry or casserole.
And, while you’re at it, why not try one of the Jasberry teas – we tried Eternal Health which is a powerful antioxidant combination of Jasberry Rice, Butterly Pea and Green Tea and also provides anti-aging benefits.
Jasberry Rice is available at Huckleberry, Farro Fresh and participating supermarkets nationwide.
NATURECAN – Matcha Flavoured Cookies
Two boxes of NATURECAN’s biscuits landed on our desk so there was plenty to go around the neighbouring offices. And, the verdict? Intriguing and delicious… can we have another one?
Matcha is a Japanese green tea powder made from young tea leaves. It has a vibrant green colour that comes from the high chlorophyll levels in the leaves and is becoming more and more popular because of its health benefits. The biscuits are suitable for vegetarians, have no artificial sweeteners or GMOs and are a good source of fibre. Baked with golden syrup, white choc chips and packed with 19g of protein, they’re perfect for a quick afternoon pick-me-up or post-gym workout.
