The iconic HOT Pink Walk returns on Wednesday, 4th October, with the evening’s festivities kicking off at 5:30pm on southern end of The Strand.
This community favourite event invites everyone to embrace the colour pink and bring along your friends, family, colleagues, kids, or even four-legged companions!
The HOT Pink Walk is a spirited tribute to life and a commemoration to those impacted by breast cancer, coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each year, thousands converge, bedecked in various shades of pink, often donning whimsical and occasionally daring costumes.

Registrations for the Pink Pooch Parade open at 5.00pm (and close at 5.30pm). The evening’s entertainment includes an energising Zumba sessions followed by the eagerly anticipated walk starting at 6pm. The 5km route takes participants through Tauranga City Centre, where entertaining ‘hotspots’ await along the way.
As a token of participation, Breast Cancer Support Service, Tauranga Trust, kindly requests a donation or koha, suggesting $10 per adult and a gold coin donation for children. Registration is available online at www.hotpinkwalk.co.nz or conveniently at any Z Energy Station.
Every dollar raised directly assists local individuals confronting a breast cancer diagnosis, underscoring the event’s profound community impact.
