House of Science NZ has been named one of the world’s leading education innovations in the HundrED Global Collection 2026. The report celebrates 100 of the most impactful and scalable education initiatives from around the globe each year.
Selected from more than 3,000 innovations and reviewed by an international panel of experts, House of Science was recognised for its hands-on approach to improving science education and empowering teachers across New Zealand.

Established in 2014, House of Science has grown into a nationwide network of branches dedicated to ensuring all children have access to quality science education. The charitable trust provides bilingual, curriculum-based science resource kits that help schools deliver engaging, high-quality science lessons. The kits also support literacy and numeracy through science, encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
The HundrED Global Collection 2026 highlights educational innovations making a real difference in communities worldwide. Inclusion in the collection places House of Science alongside other globally recognised leaders in education, reinforcing its role as a trailblazer in accessible science learning.
