All of nature cycles through seasons of change and transformation, effortlessly and naturally — just like we transition through psychological and physical states of transformation throughout our lives.
As we transition through the psychological and physical states of transformation throughout our lives, we feel our pain, we learn our lessons, and we heal our wounds.
Wisdom is the response and reward of this process.
Each lesson or challenge provides us with a piece of wisdom that we get to integrate into our hearts, bodies, and souls.
Wisdom enables us to fearlessly dance with life and to respond to its everlasting changing nature with serenity, humour and acceptance.
As we move through life, we transition through roles.
We accumulate different roles at any given stage within our lives.
We transfer into and out of different roles, keeping some, leaving others behind, and beginning new roles.
We are mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, friends, employees, employers, leaders, lovers, supporters, carers, challengers… and the list goes on.
These role transitions accompany transitions through life stages and can be easy or difficult, depending on the timing and the resources available to us.
Think about the roles you’ve played throughout your life, and the times and seasons they occurred in your life.
Think about current, past, and future.
What role(s) make your heart and soul sing?
What roles do you want or need to let go of so you can move forward in life with ease, authenticity and lightness?
Allow yourself to reflect upon these questions every now and then as this will give you valuable insights into what needs to be the next transition in your life.

When it comes to times of transition, a positive outlook makes all the difference. Look towards the opportunities and stop yourself from imagining harm. Find ways that the transition will positively impact your life.
Make the best of every moment.

5 Tips on Navigating Life Transitions:
1. BE PRESENT
During transitions, it is important to remain present in the here and now. It might be tempting to distance yourself if the transition brings uncertainty or discomfort. Instead, focus on your plans and the resources you will use to get through.
2. REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE
Remember where you were before you were before the life transition, and reflect on who you are now because of it. Centre yourself in your strengths, values, and what makes you, ‘you’. If you are experiencing life transitions that make it difficult to do certain things, finding comfort in maintaining things you were able to do before, during, and after the transition can be impactful.
3. PLAN THE NEXT STEPS
Taking a moment to plan out goals and small action steps can make the difference between having a positive or negative transition experience. While transitions involve uncertainty, creating a navigation plan can offer a way to maintain control. Viewing small steps will show you the progress you make along the way.

4. UTILISE SUPPORT
The Ghanaian word, Ubuntu means, ‘a person is a person because of people,’ or ‘I am because we are.’ This reminds us that we are all connected to and accountable to others. When going through life changes, don’t hesitate to lean into your network and leverage existing support. Remember that it is okay to ask for help, advice, or support, especially from those in your network.
5. ASSUME THE BEST
Assume that transitions will bring more opportunities than harm. When we assume transitions could negatively impact our lives, we give away our control. Transitions can be what you make them, so make them the best!
The more we truly accept and surrender to the nature of life being a constant transition from birth – life – death – to rebirth, the more we are living and embodying our true purpose.
This is the gateway to true JOY!
