Every two weeks we share all the stuff we’ve recently enjoyed – from the latest TV shows to must-try foods, gorgeous makeup products and the most exciting spots to visit in New Zealand. Today’s feature covers the best Plastic Free July activities and products.
#NoLoveToLitter campaign by UYO cafe guide
This is actually a pretty simple and pretty effective initiative, started by Use Your Own – New Zealand’s cafe guide that encourages people and cafes to ditch single-use.
This July they ask you to simply ignore all things litter, like single-use coffee cups or plastic takeaway containers. Don’t use them, don’t support them and don’t ‘like’ social media posts featuring them.
If you’re feeling inspired, you can also share this campaign with your friends and online audience and get them involved!
Zip Top silicone containers
Did you know that the average Kiwi uses around 31kg of plastic per year? Zip Top is a guilt-free storage solution that will help you reduce the amount of single-use plastic you rely on in and outside your home. Their collection includes dishes, cups and bags (snack and sandwich) in four colours – frost, grey, teal and peach. Every product is made of 100% platinum silicone, is hypoallergenic and dishwasher, freezer and microwave safe. The coolest part? This packaging requires no lid – Zip Top products stand up, stay open and zip shut for a completely fuss-free experience.
